What this policy covers

This policy applies to everything on craftermargin.com. It covers what we collect when you visit, how we use it, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

  • Analytics: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referrer, and rough location. Collected through Google Analytics 4 only when you have consented.
  • Ads: If you consent, Google AdSense may set cookies to personalize the ads you see. If you decline, you will still see ads, just not personalized.
  • Contact form: name, email, and the message you send. Used only to reply.
  • LocalStorage: the values you enter into calculators are saved in your own browser so you can return to them. Nothing is sent to our servers.

How we use it

Analytics helps us understand which calculators get used and where visitors get stuck so we can improve them. Ads pay for the site. Contact form data is used to answer you. We do not sell your data.

Cookies we set

  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics, up to 26 months.
  • __gads, __gpi — Google Ads, set if you consent.
  • cm_consent_v1 — your consent choice, 12 months.

Third parties

We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense (see Google’s privacy policy). After we qualify for Mediavine, we will add a note here.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, California, or any jurisdiction with comparable law, you can request access to your data, request deletion, and opt out of personalized ads. Email hello@craftermargin.com.

Consent management

Visitors in the EU, UK, and comparable regions see a cookie banner on first visit. You can change your choice any time by clearing cookies for this site.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Retention

Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete sooner.

Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the methodology changelog.
