Typical price range
$25 to $150 retail depending on size and substrate
Production time
30 to 90 active minutes per sign depending on complexity
Wedding signs are the highest-ticket Cricut-adjacent product. Brides buy welcome signs, seating charts, bar menus, timeline displays, and directional signs. A Cricut shop that can add wood or acrylic signage to their offering unlocks $75 to $200 retail price points.
The scale here is different. A wedding-sign sale usually includes 2 to 5 signs for the same couple (welcome + menu + seating). Shops that build wedding packages see $300 to $800 average order value versus $25 for standard HTV work.
This page focuses on Cricut-cut vinyl applied to wood or acrylic substrates. Laser-cut acrylic is a separate category with different economics.

What you are pressing onto and how much vinyl it eats.
Blank shirt or onesie supplier cost.
Standard HTV is about $3/yd. Glitter and holographic run $5 to $8.
About 0.3 yards per full-size adult tee design.
Multi-color designs stack. Each extra layer adds about 50% of base vinyl cost.

Materials for wedding signs
Substrate is the biggest cost. Wood signs (pine or mdf, 12x18 inches): $8 to $15 at craft stores or Home Depot. Acrylic signs (16x20 clear): $18 to $30. Foam board (18x24): $6 to $10. Paint finish on wood adds $2 to $4 of paint and supplies.
Vinyl for signs should be Oracal 651 or Oracal 951 permanent adhesive. 651 works indoors. 951 is premium cast vinyl for longer-term outdoor welcome signs. Price: $1.20 to $3 per sq ft. A 12x18 sign uses 1.5 sq ft for text = $1.80 to $4.50 in vinyl.
Transfer tape for application: $0.25 to $0.40 per sq ft. 12x18 sign uses $0.40 to $0.60.
Production time per wedding sign
Design: 20 to 45 minutes depending on complexity. Wedding sign designs often include couple names, date, elaborate fonts, illustrative elements. Longer design time than typical decals.
Substrate prep: 10 to 20 minutes. Sanding wood, applying paint (if painted finish), cleaning acrylic, drilling hang-holes.
Vinyl cut and weed: 10 to 20 minutes for typical complexity. Application to substrate: 15 to 25 minutes for careful alignment and bubble-free application.
Total per-sign time: 55 to 110 minutes. On bulk (3-sign package for one wedding), amortize design across all 3 for per-sign 40 to 65 minutes.
What wedding signs typically sell for
Etsy pricing by substrate: wood welcome sign 12x18 $35 to $55, wood welcome sign 24x36 $75 to $150, acrylic sign 16x20 $55 to $95, foam board seating chart 18x24 $30 to $50.
Multi-sign packages (welcome + bar menu + seating): $150 to $400. Full wedding signage suite (5-7 signs including directional): $300 to $800.
Rush orders (under 14-day turnaround) command 25% to 50% surcharge because wedding timelines are tight and shops need to reprioritize production.
